THE CLIENT BRIEF
The Horizon Group have a counselling branch which we have already designed and developed so Horizon approached us to design and develop a separate training entity, Horizon Training. The brief was to produce a website that has three distinct areas to allow user to book and take part in online course and in person courses:
- Online mental health courses with integrated learning management and a payment gateway
- Business courses with integrated learning management and a payment gateway
- Onsite and offsite first aid courses with booking system

TECHNICAL APPROACH & DELIVERABLES
We had the balance a number of resource intensive components on this project. First, all the online courses had a number of videos attached to then (over 45) so we configured the server setup to handle 100’s of GB’s of video. Then we build the courses from the ground up using a learning management system and integrated this into the payment gateway (Stripe). This setup allows for scalability whilst reducing the ongoing support and maintenance.
